With the joint efforts of the lecture hall and the Peking University Alumni Office, Li Ying, an alumnus from the class of 1987 and chairman of Beijing Yingzhibao Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd., generously donated 10 million yuan to support the renovation of the multifunctional hall and the lecture hall's original cultural and artistic activities. The renovated multifunctional hall was named "Li Ying Hall" to commemorate alumnus Li Ying's contribution to the alma mater's development and support for arts education.
